Practically All Pc Customers Need This But Only About 15% HAVE It

In the starting there was “14.4k” (a 14,400 baud modem) and AOL users mentioned “this is excellent” (effectively, great truly, because we actually did not know any much better! We had been just so excited to be on the “globe wide web” – “surfing” and clicking our way to new explorations! That was “in the beginning”, the year was 1993. I was there, If I had only purchased stock in Yahoo and eBay at that time! And it was a crazy time…connections would drop all the time, files would “hang” and it would take forever just to get the most simple issues accomplished!

I don’t forget these days – if you wanted to download 1 megabyte (mb) file from a website, it would take 20 – 30 minutes to download it! And that was IF your connection did not drop and if you wanted to download photographs (pictures), it was tough, and as for video, forget about it!

And then the “rate transfer” acceleration began… 28.8k, 56k, DSL, 256k, 1meg, 3meg, 5 meg and so on. Most wifi connections today run quickly sufficient to speedily download or transfer any images or files you want to send or obtain and even complete motion pictures can be downloaded in a reasonable time frame. (And I’m fairly positive transfer speeds will continue to improve as we proceed by way of this decade.)

All this technological advancement has led to a new term in our vocabulary… “the cloud”. When I grew up, “the cloud” was a large fluffy white issue in the sky! Now, “the cloud” refers to the information transfer and storage occurring all around us in the “unseen” world wide web.

As with any technological advance, whilst it supplies solutions, it also presents troubles.

These days, we do a lot with our computers. This consists of creating and saving important files that utilised to be stored as paper docs in our file cabinet at property. There is only 1 problem – and it is a large 1… our files (documents, spread sheets, images, videos, etc.) are at threat!

Hows that?! Nicely, what if your hard drive (the issue that retailers your files or information) fails? Say what?! Yes, unfortunately it occurs all the time.

There IS a resolution – and yet again we return to the “cloud” – a number of organizations (Cloudzow, Carbonite, Apple, Idrive) have emerged that supply “data backup in the cloud”. Excellent idea? YES!

Why?

It is convenient, automated, secure, seamless AND reasonably priced.
